Tiptronic models won't rev past 4K in park or neutral so you can't hear your new Fister exhaust mod, when you first intall it...

If your battery is dead and your bonnet release won't open (to get to the battery) duh...there is a small round clip on the front bumper, remove the clip and you can release your bonnet.

Have you ever actually done this yourself?
Or is this wisdom by proxy...

It sound like you're confusing it with the tow-hook cover.
Cause the way to get under the bonnet with (dead battery) is to use the pull-out peg at the fuse box and attach a battery pack lead to that...

Ask me how I know

Really? I'm going to have to try this out.

UPDATE: BS detected. Tip owners - Rev it up as high as you desire to hear the sweet roar of the Fisker exhaust. Glad to disprove this URBAN MYTH!!!

Wowwww hold on to your horses there cowboy
Have you had an ecu flash over-ride done on your P.?
"cause mine also won't go above 4K stationary revs...
Been told it's to protect the engine (non dual-mass flywheel etc.) so good for the engine bad for the stationary sound

Anyone else have a tip that can verify?

What??? The bad news is I JUST bought a 12v 21 watt bulb for the right rear fog light (which is wired but missing a bulb) and the good news is that I don't need it AND don't have to track down a short? I wonder if the New Jersey car inspectors know this is a Porsche thing. Do the folks at Zuffenhausen lie awake at night whipping up ways to drive old Porsche folks (like me) nuts?

when we stopped he jumped all over me - "There's something really wrong with your lights!"

hahahaha - even after explaining it he just shook his head and said I didnt get it, there is something wrong, one side is really bright compaired to the other side

I stand corrected. For some reason I can rev up as high as wanted. I'm 3rd owner and don't have good history as to what mods previous owners had done. I'm not sure about the ecu flash.

For clarification, is this revving when the car is in park? That's how I tested mine.
