Long before racing? Look back at the history. Porsche built the Type 64 race cars circa 1939 before the first 356 street car was even conceived.

Before Porsche was involved in LeMans may be accurate, but back then many races were started in this manner.

When parking in tight spaces I put my door window down (a lot easier to get in and out of the car) and when out the car then hold my remote locking button down and the window goes up after a few seconds, same for going back in the car, hold the unlock button down and both door windows go down, then simply put them back up when in the car, or if it doesent work with your remote (possibly only works on european cars?) just use the key in the door method as described earlier.
Probably not suitable for soft tops this as you dont want your roof going up and down just to get into/out of your car! lol

Cool

The shiny metal loop on your door jamb is actually a beer bottle opener (those Germans think of everything!). It also doubles as a door latch.

Saw it over on the 997 Forum. Even has pictures to show how to operate it.

If your idling is rough, or your throttle body gets dirty,
specially those that use Gas with Ethanol, you can
turn the ignition switch ON, then OFF, then ON again
and Waite for about 1 minute.

You will then hear several clicks coming from the engine
compartment; the ECU will make the throttle butterfly
open and close several times, and possibly shake off some dirt.

You all probably already know this one, but here it goes:

With the engine off, turn the head lights full on first, then
turn key on the ignition on, and headlights will recalibrate
by pointing down and then tiltIng back up.

Useful when you change weight load in your pcar,
like a full gas tank + passenger, or vice-versa (empty tank, and no load).

Unfortunatly in the UK we do not have a choice, our home garages and driveways are usually very tight and the same goes for the shopping center car parks and the town car parks, not a lot of room!
