Default Clutch switch

Does anyone know if it would hurt anything to hotwire the starter switch that's attached to the clutch in a continuous on position in order to be able to start the car without actually sitting down in the car and depressing the clutch to the floor? Is that switch employed for any reason other than starter discontinuity, i.e. engine computer-type stuff that would be thrown off by having it in a constant circuit??

Thanks in advance for the help.

Easy way to do this is to put a zip tie on the switch. I did this years ago and have never had any problems. It is also easily reverseable.
