FS: 2004 C4S coupe 3450 miles!!
#31
I have an 01 TT roadster quattro. Not happy with the power, handling, brakes, ride, been looking to replace it with a 996 Cab. Only paid $13K for it last year with 50K miles and a new clutch. I love it with the
top down and all these short comings go away. I think its a girls car. I drive it every nice day, leave the top down and drive it hard, if I buy something for like $30K I'll worry about it and probably not drive it much so I think that's the dilemma.

I can't verify that it still works, since I've been afraid to use the cruise control since the first month I've owned the car. BTW, vacationing in Sundance, UT. Pure God's Country. Rode my friend's BMW GS1200 bike yesterday - OMG I want one. Now to convince the wife on THIS one.

For those of us that aren't members, can you share some photos and your asking price of your car?
And as for the TT-RS, no word yet on it coming to the states. If you want bigger you can go for a RS 5 in late 2010, but no RS 4 this time around either.
I've driven the TT-S quite a bit, and it's a great package. The engine has ample power, but there is a bit of lag at first due to the larger turbo. Also, I think S-tronic is great, but I would want it with a 6MT. You can read a review from my colleague here: http://www.fourtitude.com/news/publi...cle_4448.shtml
As for your TT, since you have 6MT and S-line I am assuming you have the 3.2 VR6 (which is now dead). I spent a week in that car as well and I absolutely love it. If you like that engine, and it's virtually impossible not to, I don't think you'll like the 2.0T...

The car is listed on Rennlist, PCA Website, and Autotrader. It can be found by searching Autotrader and looking for a Porsche 911 2004 25 miles from zip 19002. That will bring you to my car. There are a number of photos up, and if you're truly interested, I can email you some additional ones. Asking price is $48.5K, but it's negotiable and I will entertain serious offers. The car has 3450 miles and is virtually new. Full description is in the ads. I think this link will get you there:

I do have the 3.2V6 in my TT and love the engine. It's the only TT that comes standard with a short throw 6speed (only available in the s-line). I did not consider the 2.0 when I bought my car. The TT-RS is intriguing and might be a consideration down the line (if it comes to the states).

So here's the deal: a trade. Yes, I know, I just bought it, but your car is awfully pretty, and I can always buy another one.
OK, OK, I can hear it now, this $18K motorcycle is not quite worth as much as your $48K car. But your car is much older, and has like 100 times the mileage. Over 100 times! That's insane! But I'm willing to overlook that, for you, Phil.
And - here's the best part - this is how you convince the wife. First of all, you don't tell her until after I've left with the car (and the title) and you have the signed title to the Beemer. No take-backs.
Second, my bike comes with the rear trunk and integrated back rest. Yes, a comfortable perch for her to join you on the weekend romps along the back roads of Pennsylvania.
Hurry before I change my mind.

I just bought a R1200GS as a matter of fact. Great bike. Only 350-ish miles on it so far.

Hey Phil, it's been a while - I think you had 2000 miles on it when I sold my C4S a couple of year ago - I know what you mean about loving to drive the roadster. As great as the C4S is to drive, it's a bit confined in coupe form, especially on a beautiful day.
I'm back in the market after a couple of years out, and after looking at a few 997's, I think I'm going back C4S Cab - I've got a few I'm looking at, the best looking vert Porsche has ever produced IMHO.
I think the price is fair, I hope you get it. It's about what I sold mine for 2 years ago, so it should be about right.

I just did the math. Over my almost 5 years of ownership, my car cost me $15.31 per mile to drive/own, not including gas, insurance or storage. To think I could've owned and driven a Hummer for less than that.
