Default Horn disconnect

Living in Indy where it is hotter than the place where Michael Jackson is.

The past few days the horn is 'tooted' when making simple turns and yesterday I put the brakes on hard and the damn horn went off again. I'm not putting any force on the wheel when this happens.

I think I have something going on in the steering column but for temporary sake and to save my sanity is there a fuse or a relay that I can remove while not worrying about disconnecting the airbag at the same time?

I also think the heat is acting as a gremlin. It does not do this on the way to work but when the car sits out all day it gets rather hot inside.

Common problem - the airbag center section on your steering wheel is very heavy and over time the little coil springs that hold the center section away from your horn contact get WEAK. Result is when you step on the brake hard, the center section moves towards the front of the car and you horn squeaks. Easy fix - either shim the coil springs, install your own coil springs or get new springs from the dealer and install them. Pad comes off with torqx screws behind the center area of the wheel.

I just replaced the airbag bracket for my car last month. I was on my way to work and the horn just kept going off everytime I hit a bump on the road or when I broke hard. I had to pull over and take out the fuse because people were getting annoyed at my honking.
