Yup - I ordered it in. He was wondering why I would do this and the answer is
1) Aesthetics - look great IMO
2) My leg pushes up against the centre console something fierce.
Thanks for the help Rob.

On my 1999 coupe, I have already deleted the cassette holder by putting in the cubby. I find the extra storage to be very convenient. But I also like the openess of the full delete, and my right knee would enjoy that extra space.
My question to those who have completed this mod is this:
My car has the heated seats buttons on the bottom of that console that would be deleted. One answer has already been stated to put them in the upper console in some of those blanks. But I wonder, could they be put on the floor console in the two blanks behind the ashtray, opposite the window controls?

On a lighter side, I believe I would be tempted to "do" something with that flat face of the console delete piece, like make a military aircraft-looking switch plate full of dials, toggle switches, buttons and colored lights. None of it would actually do anything. But the lables could read like:
"ARM", "Release". "Night", "Station" (rotory dial with 4 or 5 numbers), "Intercept", and a ton of other fun stuff. I would forego the the obvious James Bond stuff like "Eject" and "Missles" as being far too obvious.
Or all the stuff on an F1 steering wheel...
Could be a direct take-out from something in the desert at Davis-Monthan AFB. I often thought it would be fun to replace the shift **** with the top portion of the control stick from an A-6 Intruder, which has lots of buttons compared to even other military aircraft.
Sorry for diverting the thread. I will shut up now.

We'll see I suppose. I'm thinking to delete this console even before I get the kit so I can get that room for my leg.

Yes, well thanks for the "help" lads. Someone somewhere has told me to prise off the two side panels on the leading edge of the rear console and go from there. So that's what I'll do.
Seems to me that I should snap a few photos and a scribble a few words when I do this for the benefit of the next guy.
