Default Convertible stuck

Hi, i was replacing my top and now the top is stuck. When I engage it with the key, nothing moves, but there is sound. The compartment led moved back and forth but now its stuck too.......From reading on rennlist, i am guessing (Hoping) that nothing broke and its just a time out error.....

How do you fix the time out error? Do you just put everything back into place and restart the operation?

I manually got the top to close to put my hard top on. For those of you who manually closed the top:

Does the convertible light stay on?
How do I know when the compartment lid is closed all the way?
Do the side flaps come out?

My car is 1999 C4. Thanks for the help.

Oh yeah. My 2008 TTR has been in the shop FIVE TIMES for a malfunctioning convertible top. They have replaced virtually every motor in the system. It's back there today having both "flap motors" replaced - if this doesn't do the trick, I'm filing for buyback under PA Lemon Law. Really.

Just my subtle attempt at humor. Obviously, a very subtle attempt.

Theres your problem. You must reset the clamshell drive. This is dont with a multi meter and adjusting it to the proper ohm reading. check your pms
