Default Clutch replacement in Boston area

It looks like my clutch finally needs replacment. I'm getting quotes of $2000 from a dealer and $1500 from an indy. Both are quoting 8 hours of labor (this is a C4). Has anyone in the Boston area had their clutch replaced for less than 8 hours of labor? Normally I'd handle this myself but the prospect of dropping the tranny with the car on jackstands (in a public garage) doesn't sound appealing.

I havent had the clutch replaced yet but if you want to get one or two more indy quotes, try Eurotech, Bill Pfister, in Framingham or EPE in Natick. Both are highly recommended.

I dropped the car off with EPE yesterday. Jerry has always been helpful in the past and I know I can trust them to do the job right. It's just always tough for a DIY guy to leave his car with other people. Thanks for the other suggestions.
