update: did rears with the oem sport pads after the fronts (see previous post). the rears have been a pain in the azz with the squeeking which isn't constant, but occurs daily at a certain pressure/speed. i thought a track day might fix it. nope. won't put them on the rear again. maybe not at all. the squeeking is really annoying as it's my dd.

Also, any particular bedding-in for these?

Thanks for the help!
They are fine on the streets, new pads will squeal, but after awhile it will go away (maybe 5k-6k miles, with a few DE). They are not harsh on the rotors at all.... and the brake dust is less than stock but still present. I leave mine on.

fwiw, i boiled my ate blue and glazed my rotors using those pads all the way around (plus braided lines, and gt3 ducts) on an average temp day at laguna seca. aside from the daily squeel from the rears, they do grip!

I have the Porsche sports pads for dd as well. They don't squeal at all except first time you use the brake in a cold morning (50F) only. I use the factory anti-squeal dampers all around so maybe those help.

Thanks, everyone, I will give them a try for dd/DE.

BTW, I only run flat-out in my Konigsegg for my Twitter followers. I just can't convince those head instructors to put me in red!

Good come back I went with Carbotech X16 (RP2) last year after the Hawk's went. Worked great for me. Use these only for DE. I need to look you up on the tweet. Keep us posted on how your pads and DE's go.

1 more question for folks. I intend to try running Porsche sport pads all the time. I am thinking of going without the dampers to reduce heat, etc.

Anyone got an opinion on with/without the dampers? Pedal feel, pad fit?

Thanks!

Bill

Thanks, I just did a forum search on this as well (shoulda done that first).

Also Van has advised me re these things as well.

Will try going w/o. If too bad on the street will try reusing the old ones if in OK shape, or bite the bullet from some new ones.

Dump the dampers, most do.
