Umm...
lets see... something about "buying things you cant use" comes to mind
Man, now I know why you wont even wash it !
To be honest, I had to change a valve cover gasket on my wife's car (Chrysler Cirrus LX V6) We bought that brand new in 96' and could be second in line with Phil for low miles car (has just over 50K)
I understand hating a car so much you want to spend as little time with it as possible...truely I do

There were no manual transmission Accords at any of the 3 dealers I checked with. Besides, it would only be a marginal improvement. Oh, yeah, in case you don't know, I have a 4 cylinder engine too!

The Accord is a great car. I use to have one has a 2nd car a few year ago and I think I will get another one soon. Sometimes I don't want to drive my turbo for certain things.

I found this Accord Coupe after searching for weeks. This was the ONLY manual I4 Coupe with leather I could find. Bought it on the spot, and love it. When I can't drive my 996, this thing handles nicely, gets 34 mpg, and has a killer stereo. Reminds me of my '87 Integra - on steroids!

I have (had) an e36 M3 that was modified, and a WRX -also modified. I drove neither since the day I bought the 996. More power to you guys that can switch between it and other stuff, but I can't help but drive it, even in the snow, to go biking with, whatever...

OK, I deserved every bit of that.
I'm actually surprised you didn't pile it on even more. I think you demonstrated tremendous restraint!

I am trying to save energy for tomorrow when my wife is going to provide me with another mouth to feed for the next 18 somewhat years....so I let you off easy...but Tim you are living (in the rennlist universe) on borrowed time!!
I didn't even know you were only running on 4 cyl.!! do you want to borrow 2 from my overpowered escalade?
Anyway it is not what you drive (stick or auto) but how great of a person you are!

And Tim I had a Honda once...it was an Element and as soon as I made a couple of bucks I demoted it to company Wh.re and it did great service as equipment transporter......once the economy comes back on track (if ever) you will laugh at me with a Porsche 999 tri turbo..... and your Honda will be a distant nightmare.....just kidding.....I don't think there any bad cars build anymore....just less exciting ones.

NIcolaas,
You are right that there aren't "any bad cars build anymore....just less exciting ones." My Honda is not a bad car, it is just boring as hell. The thought of having to drive this for the next few years is not something I relish.

I traded in my '02 Accord Coupe V6 because it was getting on in miles, and had some issues. I started driving to work, and wanted something a little more reliable, with better gas milage.

Nope, it needs something else! heh
We are going to need a Honda subforum for the 996 board soon!

My wife has an 98 accord v6. It's ok. Drives well and is very reliable. Other than the transmission (which is a problem for the v6's) it's a fine car to drive to places where your not concerned about getting dinged or banged up.
