Anyone installed a Laser Interceptor?

I guess these only became available last year and are still kind of rare. I think I'm going to get one but would hate to reinvent the wheel regarding installation. If you have one, give me a shout. Thanks!

Sounds as if the Escort SRX probably does a similar function with front & rear emitters. Rear emitter is on the top of the license plate frame, the front two are mounted in the air intakes. Seems to do well.

I have one on my company car that I am very happy with. Can't help you with installation on the Porsche though.

I used one for several years before it quit working. Had no tickets during that time.

It topped this independent test and supposed to be able to interface with V1(Valentine One).

Yeah I installed mine over the summer. I've had one save so far.

Huh... never figured there was any protection from laser. Speed of light and all that but from the replys there just may be..........;)

Does anyone have a Laser Interceptor installed?
...Front and Rear?

Where did you mount on the rear?
...both above license plate or is that too close?

Based on the link to Guys of Lidar above, it looks like the LI is the best product.
Anyone have a K40? I cannot find a comparative tests with that product.

Check on 6speed. I know there are a few that have the LI installed on the rear. I think one did above the plate.
K40 is pure crap from my research.

Are there any recent install threads on a 996? I saw a YouTube video of a guy showing his install on a 997. It looked pretty straight forward to install near the radiators.

You're driving too slow if you are worried about a policeman pulling up to you to give you a ticket :)

In S.C. it is illegal (misdemeanor) to use any sort of laser or radar jammer. Bummer!!

I've had several K40's on a number of different cars over the years and have always been happy with them. On two of my cars, I have the K40 laser jammer (front only) and they definitely work. On one car, I have front and rear radar, which I think is overkill. K40 told me that rear laser is definitely unnecessary, and I agree. My only complaint is that the radar warning goes berserk whenever I drive behind or near an Audi. It must be their blind spot indicator system or something.
