MPG Challenge

I just got back from a 160 mile trip. I reset the odometer, MPG and average MPH.
The trip was about 2/3 highway and 1/3 city streets (see route).
I did use a few "high MPG" techniques - like not speed too much, take it out of gear going down hills and gentle acceleration.
However, I did use the AC the whole time, and it is a C4.
On my way to New Canaan, before I got off of 684, I did have it up to 34 MPG - but that was mostly highway. Driving around New Canaan brought it down to 28 - and driving back brought it back up to 30.4, finally settling on 30.2 by the time I got home.
And, just so you don't think I'm a total *****, I usually get 19 MPG.
