From the photos that I saw at the time, my opinion is that she "could" or "might" have been alive, or at least not have died that tragically the way she did. It was a convertible, and when she crashed, the top end could have smashed against the concrete. Well, if it had been a coupe, she could still have suffered head injuries and died, but at least her head might still have been whole.

As fas as the 911 being safe, I think I remember the cabin area held up pretty well. Her body was intact, just the head was crushed.

I have seen the images.... disgusting, but a real wakeup call. It doesn't matter that is was a Cab....the way she hit that brick building! She would have been dead even in an SUV....She hit that building at such a speed.
Very sad....
