Ok guys, she's gotta go. It took me a while to get to this point, but the fact is I just don't drive her anymore.

Folks in the Bay Area - I'm doing an in-person auction THIS WEEKEND Saturday May 17th at the weekly Santana Row car meet to ensure a quick sale.

Starting price is $18,527 and it will be sold to the highest reasonable offer.

All details and info are here. You can also PM me with any questions.

FYI: careful with your wording... You make it sound like you will take 18,527 or highest reasonable offer (which would infer less)

I'll send you the 18.5K today :) lol

Car looks great !

Chads996 05-14-2008 09:35 AM

Your starting price is WAY TOO LOW. Thanks for lowering the values of our cars. WTF?! :soapbox:

Your car is worth $28-32K based on condition, options, etc. :rtfm:

If you are going to list a car, you might want to add some important info like...overall condition, mileage, maintenance history, etc.

C.

For those too lazy:

This is a very beautiful seal grey on grey 996 (rare color combo). It's a 6-speed with 39K miles, Dual Power Leather Seats, full Aero Kit, Carbon Fiber Interior, Sport Exhaust(Fabspeed), Sport Exhaust Tips, Cold Air Intake, Sport Design Wheels, Tech Art Pedals, Short Shifter, White Gagues, Litronic Lights, Clear Bra.

- Clear Bra ($500)
- H&R Lowering Springs
- 3-piece modular Sport Design 18” wheels

Recent Maintenance Work Done:

- 30K Service ($1200)
- New Rear Tires ($750)
- Oil Change in November ($150)

- Brand New Lifters, Brand New Chain Tensioner, Brand New Hoses and Seals, Brand New Spark Plugs ($5000)

All of this work except for the 30K service, Oil and Tires was COVERED BY WARRANTY and performed at Fremont Porsche. This Porsche is in tip-top condition.

I have seen this car in person...very nice looking setup. Good luck with your auction on Sat, if I was more local I would stop by.

What's up bk12! I couldn't remember your alias after we met up. Thanks for the plug. ;) I'm sure everyone that comes on Saturday will agree she's a sweet ride.

Hi Chad, this is just the starting price for the bidding. I'll certainly post the final price once the bidding is completed and the sale is closed to maintain the market status quo. ;)

TheSpeedDemon 05-14-2008 06:07 PM

OT but not really: when I settled with my insurance company after the total loss of my '99 C2 SY w/Aero and O.Z. wheels and x74 suspension, I got $47K :D

So really think about the selling price and don't be swayed by the current market and 'depression' we are in

very interesting way to sell a car! Please keep us posted with the results.

Inquiring minds want to know.

Nice car but there is one thing that scares me.

From your ad.

For your protection: The bids are not legally binding contracts and can be withdrawn at any time.

For the seller's protection: The seller reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids without explanation with exception to an accepted and executed sales contract being processed.

This is a sale with a minimum undisclosed reserve.

I'll be interested in the final result.

If you don't drive that gorgeous P-car, what exactly do you drive?

Asking me? I'm in the market for a 996/997 myself.

UserA 05-14-2008 08:27 PM

Anyone up for being my annoying Barret Jackson clown in the Ferrari shirt and hat and take my phone bid for the car?

Are you also up for taking offers on her now?
