Sold my '04 C4S in Seattle area,too...new ride
Well, I've parted ways with my '04 Arctic C4S. It was a fantastic car, but just not practical enough for a father of three little ones as a DD. Fortunately Ms. Greta is right. I, too, live in the Seattle area and sold my car (via a listing in the PCA Mart classifieds) for what I paid for it one year ago (Low 60s). I have no complaints about enjoying the car for the cost of the sales tax over the last year.
My new ride: 2007 Audi S6, CPO, with 8k miles on it. Car is loaded with tech package (nav, keyless, bluetooth), ipod integration, all four seats heated. It's black on black and the prior owner (who works at the same local software company that I do) even sprung for a set of Blizzaks and rubber mats for winter time.
With the V10 derived from the Gallardo, rear bias Quattro drive and room for 5, this car is a family HAULER. The LED DRLs turn more heads than my C4S ever did, which I think is pretty funny.
Anyway here are a few pix:
I'll miss the C4S but the S6 is soothing my pain just fine.

Beautiful car, but quite a switch from the C4S. Good luck with your new ride. I'm moving from an S4 to a new TT roadster 3.2 S-line, which you could probably fit in the S6 trunk!

Sammy, you are not alone. I used to have an an A6 4.2 until my father drove it and stole it from me. I now drive a modified Allroad and it rocks! I drove my C4S yesterday and it is a great experience but it seems like everytime I go on a trip, the six speed in traffic sucks and my radar detector is always going off with police getting a boner for my Porsche? That S6 is sweet! Nice choice! Have fun with that dark color though.....................I have had a few of those.

the drl turning heads is a diff turning heads than rolling the porsche. those christmas lights are annoying as all get out.
drive safe.
best,
ben

Hey, you sound excited with the A6. Sometimes just a car change is good. I drove Audis for 8 years, now I'm happier with my ancient 99 996. Enjoy the ride.

Beautiful new ride.
Although I'm going to try to have the best of both worlds - keep my A6 Avant-my ski car (granted not a V10), have my C4S and of course have the "mothership" which is the wife's Honda Odyssey.

Thanks, guys. I'll take most of your comments as compliments
I don't think there's any question that another P-car is in my future...just needed some added functionality / space now without totally giving in to some lifeless people mover.
The S6 continues to amaze. Granted it's 4,500 lbs. but it certainly doesn't feel it in the twisties or when I stomp on the right pedal. It's no P-car but it DOES have a some character to it for sure.

I'd be curious what your opinion is of these RS4 wheels on the S6

If you want to go for the conservative look and the "conservative" price, the RS4 wheels will do fine, but they will never ever look as good as a higher quality and higher priced aftermarket wheel like the HRE 540Rs for example.
You need a bit of dish (can't get much dish on Quattro cars), polished lip and a nice silver center to set off your car proper.
But it is showy. It's really based on the owner as to what he can handle. If I had your S6, I'd do exactly that. HRE 540Rs lowered with no gap front and rear. Maybe add a subtle rear lip spoiler, exhaust to open up that V10 and be done with it. It would look so awesome like that. Def more LA than podunk Seattle where you see guys rolling stock cars all day (zzzzzz).
Saw the V10 M5 lowered like the above on Sunset. BMWs can get some serious dish due to its RWD format. WOW. It's just amazing how much better a car can look with bigger, wider aftermarket wheels that push to the edges of the fender and hunkered down.
If you don't want to spend that much or handle that much flash, then just stick with what you got. The RS4 style wheel look is just too subtle and not much of an improvement over the stock setup.
There's my best advice for ya, bud.
