Default Remove centering ring

I want to put on a set of winter tires on my A4, but the aftermarket rims on there have a centering ring that while removable is really stuck on there. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas or tricks on how to remove a centering ring without damaging it. I will of course need them in the spring to put the 19" rims back on. The centering rings are smooth and don't give me anywhere to really grap them to pull off the hub. I know someone here must have faced the same issue. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Luckily I don't face the same issue with the Porsche's winter wheels. I stayed 100% stock there and they come on and off with no problems.
