Fix for Center Console Glove Box

The hinges are broken on my 99 Carrera 2's center console glove box. has anyone had this problem and if so is there an easy fix. I know the OEM part will be sky high.

actual there is a repair kit from the dealer its about 30$ and is made of metal and wont break
