Will Phil G be on call again, or will he be free to come and have fun with us?

He probably will be on "call" even if he is not. In order for him to attend, he would actually have to drive his C4S!

Hey Phil, are you up to 2,000 miles yet? You need to get to the "official" break-in point before the tires rot off the car!

... I'm glad someone else said that.

Yeah, I have given him enough **** about not driving his car enough, so he's probably already pi$$ed off at me. So I figured, "what the hell," I might as well dig myself in a little deeper.

Well, if you promise to come along for the drive, then he might show up.

Believe it or not, I actually looked at MapQuest on Thursday to see how long it would take me to get there. 9 hours and 17 minutes one way. Unfortunately, that's a little too far for a "fun run."

Ouch! Yeah, a little far, even though we would have loved to have seen you.

Maybe one time we'll get to meet for a drive in the middle somewhere.

Please consider coming. Obviously, a fun run is not worth a 9 hour trip, but the Philadelphia area is a wonderful destination for tourists. History....culture....sports....nice roads.....the Atlantic Ocean and our famed New Jersey beaches.....etc. How does that sound - a mini vacation during which you could participate in the fun run?

I'll buy you breakfast, or lunch, or dinner. We'll make you feel at home. We'll watch over you and take care of you. Deal?

WOW - that is one hell of an invitation! I really do appreciate the invitation, but I don't think it will work for me this time because of other commitments around that same time.

I tried....I tried. There's a driving tour in Rockville, Maryland on May 6th, but even that one is pretty far from got911. The challenge seems insurmountable!

Yep, I'll be up for Fling Spring.

We'll have to see if we can better attendance than 2 993s this time around.

Count me in Wayne.

Edit - Hemmings - How good/large is it and do they sell at the show ?

This is the first Hemmings Show. I believe it is cars prior to 1989. The cars will be parked along the front straight. I've attend cars show there before (sunday of labor day weekend) They are usually large shows with hundreds of cars.

Featured mark for this show is porsche. Anyone who drives up with a porsche will get preferred parking (porsche only grass lot) near the show itself.

There are usually tents set up in the grass with vendors, etc. Limerock is very good for familes, bring the wife and kids.

Last labor day weekend, the featured mark was Mini Coopers and over 800 showed up. I expected a lot of porsches.

Glad to have you along again Phil!

If you want more 993s to show up you'll have to post on the 993 forum and tell them that we said that they were afraid to show up, as the 996 and 997s would leave them standing... that should stir up the hornet's nest enough to get them to show.
