I have a similar interior savannah beige with wood and I love it. Others like aluminum or carbon, I like the carbon but the aluminum is too cold for my taste but to each their own.

No offense, but there's a reason that wood is hard to find - there's not a market for it, as most people will think it does not look good in this car. I love wood in luxury cars but I can't picture it in a 996.

True, but I guess I just never changed. Had it in my first car a Triumph and then in my Alpha, had it added to my old Corvette, and now to my current car the 996 C4 Cab. Like everything it is not to everyone’s taste, or maybe most peoples taste, but I love it. Now if I could afford to go full Carbon maybe I would make a change but I will never go aluminum. Aluminum reminds too much of industry kitchen or the cockpit of my aircraft which is produced by the lowest bidder for the US Government. No offense to those who love aluminum, I respect your taste.

I've got a wood and alum. mix...I love it.

Best picture I could come up with.

Here's light burl in w/Savanna in my car.

Wood is the historically correct accent in a 911. The series A featured a wood steering wheel and teak across the dash.

And of course the CGT features a wood gear shifter in homage to the 917. The first racing Porsche to claim outright victory at Le Mans.

Rob I love that look! You have the same interior as mine except I have partial wood on the center console.

My car came with that trim. I assumed it was just an option.

The wood trim was an option.

Congrats on your post count

Glad to see some wood owners show up with some pictures. Both interiors are very nice and for us old folks (me at least) it does pay homage to older loves sold long ago. This all started for me when I saw a light burl hand brake handle for sale on e-bay. It looked good, but I still have my doubts about light burl installed in the grey interior.

No doubt wood looks great with Savanna. Love the Recaro seats too!
