Sportstrend Studio City
Has anyone had any experiences with Sportstrend? I have been looking at their site for a while and before I make a 3 hour drive down there, I would like to have some feedback about their experience there. thanks in advance.

Burning Brakes
A buddy of mine bought a 993 Cab there, cash....the wheels were bent, he couldnt get anyone on the phone....he had vibrations at high speed...took it to the dealer, bent wheels....ALL 4. He went to get them balanced..couldnt be balanced. All within ONE week of purchase. They said, no warantee, you are on your own. Couldnt get anyone to talk to him, so he ate a set of new wheels from wheel enhancement...he is non confrontational....I would have blocked the driveway, and the police would have had to remove me physically....6 months later he traded it in for a new 996 C4S cab, the dealer found top rot, faulty top mechanism, motor, and LOTS of work needed....Something in the area of 10k in work....if I bought there I would be VERY VERY careful.....

I like to take the time to check a dealers reputation, before I start any negotiations it may saves some headaches later on.

The one time I went by (granted it was a couple of years ago), I wasn't impressed by the quality of cars they had on the lot. Looked to be auction cars that had seen better days.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM !!!!
They sell cars with accidents but they will not disclose.. Make sure you inspect all the body jointswelds carefully. Majority of the cars they sell are "AS-IS" because they always say "you still have factory warranty left"....
After you buy the car and complain about something.. They will say "you are on your own. Try to use your warranty on P car dealerships..." Now that's what I call "Customer Satisfaction #1"

I'm waiting until I find out about getting the core charge on my engine first, and then, so I don't accidently hijack a thread, I will be posting a new thread about the retailer of fine gernades. Notice the word gernade being plural....

A buddy and I went to visit Sports Trend a couple of years ago for a C5 Vette he was interested in. The car looked great but had a strange vibration at 60 mph. I previously owned a C5 and told him that the vibration is not due to tire balancing issues. He tried to get them to fix it before he bought it but they denied there is a problem with the car even after driving it themselves. Needless to say, he walked away, but my take from that experience is that they will knowingly sell problematic cars to people and hide behind under the "as is" caveat. I definitely do not recommending buying anything from them.
