Yes, I believe someone on this forum did buy it, but I can't remember who it was. I think he is a relatively new used. I'll see if I can find the link to the post where he mentioned he bought Dan's car.

My brother bought it a couple of months ago. its a very nice car, nicely done up inside and out. The car is wicked fast!! Makes me want to get the evo s/c.

The only gripe he has about the car is the piggyback ecu unit that tpc installed. I'm thinking about taking it to evo and have them rewrite the software . The car is running too rich right now, and the only way to make that change is with the giac software. Or else i would have to send the entire ecu to tpc and have them tune it.

Just speculating here, but it is possible that the "sales" he got from the members did not justify the annual cost of sponsorship.

Not to mention there seemed to always be a thread or post within a thread complaining that Dan (Vivid) misrepresented items (ie, wheel offsets) or never reponded to question or gave actual facts to support his claims of hp increase, etc.

Personally , I have nothing against Dan but I tried to do business with him once and I just felt like he was about the $$$ over the customer. I was able to secure my products cheaper elsewhere.

I'm guessing Dell hit the nail on the head. Online answers were elusive and the one time I called to make a purchase Vivid did not seem to be very knowledgeable about the product in question (I did not buy from them).

Well, I was going to mention some of the issues that Dell and Ray mentioned, but since I personally hadn't done any business with Dan or Vivid Racing, I felt that my information was "second hand" so I refrained from from stating anything further.
