Not very good selection in sizes for a 996. But if you roll hard in your 20" or 22" bling blings, then it's a great tire with many choices.

Looks fugly to me. Looks like they have mated two different patterns down the middle. Also, when it comes to tires I chose quality and performance before looks.

I would counter and say that they are complete rubbish! I was sponsored by Toyo at one stage and they wanted me to try the T1R on my roadcar, the GT3. These tires stayed on the car for less than 2 weeks as it became undriveable due to the tires.

I wouldn't have given them to you even if I still had them (returned to Toyo) as I consider them unsafe/fit for a car like the 996. The only thing they are good for are as part of tirewall around a track.

Yoko's are being installed right now in the driveway.. Heading back to the dealership for an alignment when the tires are installed.

I just looked at a presentation on the manufacturer's website about its engineering process. At one point, they say that "a top priority was maintaining the [tire] design without compromising performance."

Apparently it is not a tire, it is art in the shape of a tire.

You can't make this stuff up.

Design before function or function before design. I know what I want if we are talking car tires.........................

Tire Van I take it? I have been hearing a lot about them recently. How do you like them? Please let me know your impressions of price and service.

Thanks in advance,

Pete

So these are nice, quiet tires with patterns adjusted for noise cancellation. Probably well suited for the neighbor's Chrysler Crossfire.
