Hey guys, long time lurker.

I'm an air-cooled guy from way back and have a '70 T Targa, a '74 wide-body and and '77 wide-body, so I guess you could say I have the bug pretty bad!

On Friday, I just picked up the latest addition to the addiction, a '99, black/black, 40K, no PSM, with LSD. I drove her back 700+ miles in just a hair under 10.5 hours.

I have a brand new MK1 aero kit waiting to be painted and installed as well as a set of Victor wheels and PSS9s.

Sheeze Dell, I leave the Forum in your hands for one hour and what do I come back to see? Total chaos! Come on, man…. pull yourself together! Quit sneaking out to the garage to l@@k at your P-cars! You'd better get your act together or Ray S will put a black mark on your permanent record!

Looks great - you gotta respect a guy with your kind of appreciation for the 911.

Welcome to the Porsche Phunny Pharm! Congrats on getting a very nice looking P-car. Yes, clear side markers are a MUST. Thanks for the introduction and for posting the pic. I'm glad I didn't have to harass two "Newbies" this weekend about posting pics!

you should have never bought a 99. all kinds of stories of PSM problems and total engine failures.

Thanks for the welcome guys!

I've lurked long enough to know the n00b rules regarding introductions and pictures.

The first mod was the installation of clear corners, with the ice on the ground here in MI, it'll be a day or two for the new pics of the 996. My winter tires (this was purchased to be a semi-daily driver) should be on by the weekend.

Here's a picture of the other cars (two of them). The red SC has gone to another home, but the blue '74 still is with me, although it is totally apart right now for a street/track build up.

I'll dig pictures up of the other two when I can devote some time to searching for them.

The aero kit needs to be dropped off at the local bodyshop, along with the car so they can color match the kit and mock-install it for any fitment issues. Once it's painted, I'll install it at home.
