Finally got the car unlocked and out of the garage....
Hello everybody I'm a fairly new member and a bunch of you really tried to help me recently when my new (to me) car got locked in the garage. I finally got the lock picked and a new $600 dollar lock installed and I can drive again.
Someone suggest that it was customary to post pictures so here are couple.
My guards red '01 is my second 911. The first was a beautiful '89. This car doesn't have a lot of options but it did have the ones I wanted most: PSE, 18" wheels and a 3 spoke steering wheel. It's a beautiful car with pristine paint, perfect interior condition and mechanically seems to have no issues. The PO had the clutch replaced at 30,000 miles and a brake job done. I had the 30k service, new tires and a new door lock installed at 31,000. Just makes you want to go drive!

Tony,
It sounds like you got a great car. I'm glad you got the lock problem fixed. A couple of guys seem to have had broken door locks lately. I wonder if it is a weak link?

ruckmjr,
I don't know why the clutch was replaced but I did have the rms checked and it was fine at PPI. One thing I've learned to add to the PPI though is to have the mechanical door lock checked!
