Steering Wheel Choices
I've been looking at changing my stock 3 spoke wheel to a thicker leather wheel. A local dealer has a new OEM leather/aluminum wheel that he'll sell me for the same price as the thicker leather wheel. I have the alu-look rear console, so this combination may really work well - but I do like the simple look of leather. I'm concerned the leather/aluminum wheel may be too 'bling' - what do you think?? I can't decide. I do, however, love my clear side markers

Phil - I recall reading a post here on Rennlist that the "Aluminum Look" settring wheel gets quite hot to the touch in summer. Since I do not have an Aluminum Look S/W, I have no personal experience about this. FYI

Phil:
The aluminum/leather and wood/leather wheels are really hot after an hour in the sun; just like the matching shifters and e-brakes. The brake is a one time setting, and you can shift delicately until the shifter cools down. You can't however, steer easily while avoiding the non-leather surfaces.
Take your steering wheel to a leather shop. A talented craftsman can add whatever thickness you want AND cover that silly plastic airbag cover with matching leather.

Anyways...yeah I have the Leather/CF 3 spoker and LOVE IT. It looks sporty and feels great. I am very happy with it.
I agree I think the leather/alum is kinda "loud" but then again as a complete interior package it may look better.

I use a sun shade when it is parked in the sun - so no problemo.
