Pressure Sensing Tire Valve Caps
I saw these mentioned in a Wall Street Journal article.

Low profile tires make it very difficult to visually spot a puncture. These seem like a potential low cost alternative to installing a tire pressure monitoring system.
Anyone use them? Any reason not to?
I guess the seal could fail since they must hold the valve open to measure pressure. That does not sound too appealing.

I used them (not that particular brand) on my wifes car so that its easy for her to tell if the tires are low. The brand I use is set at a particular PSI and the top shows green/yellow/red depending on the pressure. (its the same idea, a replacement cap on the existing valve stem)
