Default Front Bumper question

I have decided to get a new front bumper for my '02 996 C2 Coupe.

I am considering the following (yes I know I also need to add a rear wing).

1) Aerokit II Bumper
2) GT3 Bumper
3) GT3RS Bumper

My questions are;

1) Are the Aerokit II and GT3 Bumpers the same? If not what are the differences?
2) Do these bumpers all come with the center air inlet closed? (or open?)
3) Will the GT3RS bumper fit? If so what differentiates this unit from the other two (I know is has air outlets at the top of the bumper, is that the only difference?)

Thank you for your help!!

Yes GT3 and Aerokit II are the same bumper. The inlets on the top of the GT3RS and the GT3 are the main differences. I think the GT3RS does not have mounting holes for a license plate, but I could be wrong. I think all the ones you have mentioned come open, if you need to close it then you can but the appropriate piece from the dealer, again I could be wrong.

So if I understand correctly they will all fit my '02 and all I need is the center piece to block the center inlet.

Can I re-use the center piece on my existing bumper?

My OEM GT3 bumper came with the middle closed - but it can easily be cut out. I think it comes open if you have a Tiptronic with a third radiator.

Ray - It is my understanding (but I could be wrong) that you can change to a front bumper that give more down force WITHOUT having to add a rear wing.

The thing you are NOT supposed to do (according to Porsche) is add the wing without somehow increasing the down force on the front (i.e. different bumper or adding an aero lip). If I am wrong, I hope someone will step up and correct me.

Here is my aero II front cover. The cover came with the black backing grill closed in the middle and instructions to cut it out if you want it open. I have a tip so I just used my existing open grill on the new cover. They are interchangeable.

I've wondered this also, as I'm not a big fan of the fixed wing. I'd love to do the front, sides, but not the fixed wing.

I'm certain Dell has confirmed several times in previous threads that you can install the front bumper without the rear wing, but not the other way around.

....and here I come to save the day. O.K., that was cheesy, but Tim make me do it

Adding Aero Front only? OK
Adding Aero Front and Rear Wing? OK
Adding Aero Wing (or other downforce in rear) only? NOT OK

This is directly from PCNA and they will NOT allow the installation of just a fixed rear wing only.

Cool! Thanks! That just added some more expensive components onto my shopping list.... then the next question is whiche aero kit I would go for.
