Mine are clear but with green LED lamps that are on with DRLs and switch to amber in synchronization with turn signals.

OK, I gotta jump in here, since I even have this in my sig.

I think the grey/silver guys have a point, the amber doesn't quite work for them.

I like them on black a lot. Color is your friend! Come on... black, red, amber... it doesn't get any more German than that.

I guess you guys will all know if you see me, since I may be the last known colored corner lighter, at least in Rennlistland, it seems!

Absolutely go with clear - I put it on mine - it is the most simple mod you can do and definitely makes a nice difference.

Although I did change mine to clears, You are correct there, in your case. I had a black 540i and I didn't change the rear amber lights to clear, eventhough it was the "cool" thing to do. I thought about it a looong time, but decided to keep the OEM. Amber just looks good on black!

Besides, if it was the other way around...OEM clear markers in the US, and ambers in Europe. I bet all of us will be scrambling to change to ambers!

Clearly, you need to dump the orange markers.

Smoked ones w/seal grey is a perfect match.
I had smoked side and tail lights when I bought the car. Compare to clear ones on seal grey, I personally think smoked is a good match.

I did mine a few weeks ago also. I also did the silver badge and i am thinking about the silver logo. The only thing that I want with color is the red of the taillights and red calipers. The smoked third brake light is desirous also. IMHO though, the silver badge was just as big as the changing of the ambers.

Yes! Those yellow side markets stick out like a sore thumb. When I bought my Seal grey coupe, I only went 3 days before I swapped them out. The Euro 996 corner lights aren't clear, they are lightly smoked so they blend really well in.

Definitely have to can the amber if you have clear tail lights. I did this, plus went with the silver rear badge. It's a must on a darker car.
