Default Oil Drip-left drivers side rear

Any thoughts...drop doesn't reach the ground, but is freshly produced after each drive. Is this the "cam cover"?
(Drip occurs at bottom of the black cylinder centered in the pic)

Sounds similar to the only leak I have ever had, which turned out to be a spark plug O-ring tube. It was pretty cheap to have fixed.

Well that's good to hear...thanks. Hopefully it's the same thing...it's hard to pinpoint exactly where it's leaking from, as that whole area is wet.

Jlb, what year is our car? My 99' has the same oil seepage at the same spot. I was told that oil is seeping through the valve cover when i had it checked out.

Vove, I've got a 99 as well. I figured valve cover or cam, or as AG suggested above-spark plug tube.
None of which are considered 'major' from what I understand, and can probably be left alone?

Left alone? No. Easy fix? Yes.

This is the second item I have seen you post about and keep trying to troubleshoot without dealer verification on your new (to you) car.

Why woldn't you bring these issues up with the dealer? They delivered a car to you with low coolant and oil leaking (now). Just take it back in and have them fix it.

Wish it were that easy Dell. Unfortunately I purchased off private seller across the country. Little recourse for getting anything comped at this point. I will be bringing the car in eventually, but being new to the P-car world, I'm trying to get an understanding of what is major and what isn't...before the local shop takes me to the cleaners.

So you're saying it's not alright to leave that oil seepage alone? As I mentioned, it never leaves a spot on the floor...only saw it when under the car.
