Congratulations on your new purchase. <img src="graemlins/jumper.gif" border="0" alt="[jumper]" />
Please post a picture or two of your new C4S if you can.
From what I've read & heard from my discussions with the "Tire Rack" (http://www.tirerack.com/index.jsp 888-541-1777 8am-8pm est), one should steer clear of the Conti's, as there have been numerous complaints in their regard, and choose the Michelin's or Pirelli's depending on your personal projected driving conditions. If I recall, the Pirelli's are better overall on wet road conditions and the Michelin's are better overall on dry road conditions. You can generate a great detailed comparison of the tires at the Tire Rack web site and speak to some of their real people early on Monday.
I'm hoping to manifest Michelin's, B.F. Goodrich's, or Pirelli's, in that order at my delivery.
Happy motoring & all the best of luck, tomorrow,

Keep the Assymetricos, unless you drive mostly in wet weather. In that case, you might consider swapping for the Rossos. The Assyms have the best dry grip and feed back.

DJ,
They'll be just fine on the 996 Carrera 4S in the wet, especially with PSM. <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />
