Charge-O-Mat
How long is a battery supposed to last with the Charge-O-Mat? Can other cars use this device? Some stores sell a battery maintainer that appear to work in the same way as the Charge-O-Mat. Are these any different? With the complexities of the 996 computer, I sometimes wonder if the Charge-O-Mat was designed for Porsche use exclusively.

A long time
Can other cars use this device.
Yes.

No, they are based on the same voltage sensing principle.

No, it's is a trickle charger just like any other brand.

Thanks, Gert. I knew I'd get some good answers from you! I've had the same battery since 1998, and I'm still waiting for it to go bad. The RoW M030 has been great. All the squeaks are gone. The only noise I hear are from the frame of the car flexing. I'll try the set-up in April in one of my DE events. Again, thanks! And Happy Easter, if it applies to you.
