Default Are you glad you went with aftermarket exhaust

I just picked up some ebay exhaust and I was wondering if you had any regrets. I really am doing it to get 25lbs off the rear of the car. That seems like a lot of weight savings. Is it way louder? Noticible? Do you get more attention with the exhaust? I don't want people staring all the time or cops noticing me. Honestly do you think it adds any horsepower?

Umm...what is the exhaust? There are many knids and some help with power some don't, some sound better, some too loud...we really need to know what you have before we can comment on it (ebay does not make aftermarket exhaust to my knowledge). Love my Europipes!

Love my GHL normal (not loud). For a cab, I think it's perfect.

<<< Fabspeed bypass pipe owner here. Although it is not my daily driver I do enjoy it when I have a chance to drive it. It has become a game with local 5-0, when I see them I let off the throttle and cruise by them. It is becoming more difficult with tinted windows, 19" chrome wheels and a loud exhaust, I am just waiting for that day.

But till then..carry on

I just put on the Fabspeeds. Haven't had much seat time with them yet. The wife loves them because before that I was running muffler bypass. I was a bit dissapointed in the volume of the Fabs, but comming from the bypass thats just expected. They do sound good, just not as loud as I would have liked. Anyone know if the GHL louds are between the Fabs and a bypass?

Fabspeed here also....

To be honest, the stock exhaust is way too tame out of the box. You have to change it!

Ya but Porsche engineers the best exhaust for your car. You sacrifice sound for performance with aftermarket.
I am told it is a sin to change to anything but PSE by the local Porsche fanatics.
