My comment didn't have any bearing on money. However when it comes to music I have the same opinion. I certainly can appreciate the sound of a exhaust on my car however I just feel its not necessary unless it gives you a descent HP gain. I guess I'm still use to a turbo car.

who cares about HP gain...whoever (except for track'ers) take their P's to the max?? 10-15 HP???
But if you drive a sportscar that sounds like a purring kitten, well then you have kind of a problem! If I hear (before I see) a Ferrari...I automatically think Sportcar!! When I see a P...didn't hear it....I think nice car, but I don't think sportscar!! Unless I see a speed yellow turbo. These are just my 2 cents...and I am picking up my super sound dansk sport exhausts today (monday) so I too can roar like a real sportcar driver, with more or less HP's..I got a tip and cab anyways....

I bet your wife has no problem spending money on a new handbag when her others are perfectly good...

By this logic, we would all be driving Accords...

Actually my wife is the saver in the family. Its taken years of conditioning, but she just smiles and gives me the "look", and shakes her head. Shes a real good sport =)
She's a BMW gal at heart and it was not happy when we traded her 540 6spd for a Lexus ES300 as she has a 3 hour daily commute that was killing the 5er. Once our son is out of daycare I've promised her another M3.

I've often wished I had gardening as a hobby insteady of cars, guitars, and motorcycles. I'd have saved myself a ton of money.

JES,

Gardening? Are you nuts? Do you how much a Japanese Maple or a Purple Birch cost?

I've no idea, but probably less than a 1966 Fender Telecaster.
