Default Adding Ferrari-style Shields

Just thinking while cruising Ferrari Chat, one of the best additions to an F-car (although some hate it) are the fender shields (in Ferrari yellow color). There are basically two types, the sticker added directly to the fender (yuck), and the kind where they actually make an indention into the fender and add a shield with depth, creating a 3-d look.

I was wondering, you know the Porsche emblem is also quite nice and well known, could it be used the same way?

gemballa has that option with their crest i believe. and ruf/techart don't have crests.

i don't think they indent the fenders to do it tho.

If it wasn't done by Ferrari, maybe. I think it's kind of tacky.

+1. I like it on the Ferrari's. Kind of how lambo doors only work on lambos, but in a much smaller scale.

also remember, that the scuderia shields are different than the actual ferrari insignia.

the scuderia ferrari sheilds are typically used on special edition cars, and on all the racing cars, (but are availible as an option on any ferrari)

i have seen porsches with the porsche crest on the fender, and its just over done because its the same badge, repeated.

correct me if i'm wrong, i dont think porsche has another crest that can be used.

They do, this is the one that should be used on the fender:

Nothing beats the BMW M1 for having too many symbols (Roundels in this case)

If anyone thinks it would look good on your car, I say do it.

Then kill yourself.

The shield looks very tacky even on a ferrari. I don't understand why it's desirable.

I saw a Ferrari badge on a Scion fender the other day.

We don't need no stinkin' badges.

I respect your opinion, but have to disagree.

Trust me, that car looks great despite the badge, not due to it.

I really, truly honestly saw a Ferrari badge on the front fender of a C4S the last time I was in Chicago. Oh, I wish I had a camera

It's nice on the Ferraris... as for my car... I'll pass

Looks fantastic on the Ferrari, not so much on the Porsche.

Less is more. Saw a Porsche crest on the rear of a Cayenne Turbo above the script. Looks horrible and EXACTLY like the crest Rob posted.....poser'esque. And of all places, know where I saw it??? Last months (Feb) Pano!
