Post New 996

Hi All,

Thanks for the input!

Well my wife and I just bought a new to us 996. it is a 1999 C4, blue, grey interior, with the 2 year Porsche warrantee, 17k miles clean. We fly out to Ohio Friday night to pick it up and drive it back to Boston...

My first question is: what is needed to install the trip computer on this car. There is a stalk involved and what else? Has anybody done this?

TIA

Search for OBC Hack

It's the same as for the boxster if you find info on that.

We have done a number of these locally here. Send me a private email and I'll send you the rather large (2MB) procedure with photos in PDF. Or, if that is too large for your email then I'll provide a place to download it. Porsche recently changed the stalk so we'll need to make sure we get you the right part number.

I ended up with half glossy and half matte caps.
