Motorola Hands Free Kit (bluetooth)
Can anyone comment on how well the Motorola Hands Free Kit works in a 996 Cabriolet (2001 if that matters) (with respect to background noise)?
If so, can you let me know where you opted to place the microphone and speaker? The dealer is saying the speaker could either be on top of the windshield, behind the rear view mirror on the dashboard; and the speaker should be under the drivers steering column.
Many thanks.

I installed this kit in my 2001 coupe, works really well, and mutes the radio when you have a call and the radio displays "PHONE".
Since I had the coupe I installed the mic up through the driver's side A pillar and about 4" into the roof head liner so it was directly in front of me, but over the door - in a cab I think you might be able to install it in the A pillar.
The speaker I installed on the passenger side of the console, on the floor - was more than loud enough but again I had it in the coupe.
