Please advise how and where to go using the VIN # inorder to check if the car is a hot car?

probably carfax.
maybe your local police can run the VIN also.

Fadz,
carfax is a service you have to pay for (guess $20 only).. they tell you the status of a car.. also, maybe you can do this thru your local dealer? they might have or ask for a database..

Fadz, you can look up the car through its VIN through CARFAX for a fee of $15.00 for one VIN search or $20.00 for unlimited use for 3 months, if you are searching for cars in general use the 3 month one, good luck JAS
