I am close to purchasing a 1999 996 C4 Cab but have some reservations. I am in SoCal and the car is in NY. Black/black, 71K miles, hardtop, full leather, 6 speed, dual power seats. Trying to get a PPI done but am concerned because there are no records (will try contacting a Porsche dealer tomorrow with the VIN #)and I am concerned about the seal (oil leaks) and other problems. I have settled on a price of $39K. Is this a good deal or an average deal? Also, what should I be looking for specifically. Carfax checks out with the only irregularity being a recall for a fuel filler cap seal recall. Thanks.
