Hello all,
Planning on putting this unit in my 99 c2 tiptronic.
Does anyone know here the speed sensor wire is or the speed sensor itself (or if the car even has one)
Apparently the unit needs it to run some of the mapping/charting functions of the gps/nav
Has anyone had to find this wire in installing this or other units?
does anyone have any guidance on actually doing the install (from experience or otherwise!)

I thought you just plug into the OBD2.

to be honest, I do not even know what the obd2 is......

Dont know if 99 has it but it is in the 04. There is a grey/pink in the radio harness which is the speed sensor and is used for the radios auto volume adjust (like the Lotus, which increases the volume as you increase power or accelerate and brings it back down to normal level as you level off the power). If it isnt in your harness it is at the fuse box and there is multiple points for the junction of the grey/pink speed sensor there. You may have to go to the dealer and have them look for it on the schematic for your year. For the AVN 2454 the speed pulse is used to trigger the navigation system and calculate trip time. And the reverse hook up is calculated into the trip time too.
