Hi there and good day!! Just out of curiosity I love the look of the rear reflector on the new c4s. Is it possible to retrofit the rear spoiler(c4s) onto pre-02 models. I know the whole rear wing spoiler and mechanicals has to be included but mite look very nice. Thanks in advance. mike

The C4s reflector can't be retrofit. It sits flush in a groove in the C4s's unique lid. Sticking it on a '99-'02 996 will have it sitting 1/4" inch above the lid. There is , however some German outfit that makes a reflector , but how can any design not look like a tacky stick on given the way the lid is designed , with it's radiused step off next to the Carrera logo?

I not just talking about the reflector itself but the whole rear lid with the wing that raises up and down like in all 996's. Looks like on pics of the c4s that the whole unit can be fit onto the regular 996. Im not talking just about the reflector-that be ugly with it sticking out and all. regards. mike

The German reflector is perfectly moulded to fit the graduated dimple on the engine cover. it looks very good actually

I am absolutely certain I saw a website from Great Britain that actually had these strips advertised. It came as a link from someone on our List. I have searched and searched to no avail. As I recall the strip had an aluminum looking little strip across the top to give the "look" of the factory C4S. When I first saw it I checked my 02 Cab to see if I could do it, but the "Carrera4" nameplate would be in the way.
