I did that in a previous car, so I never had to replace the batt. Perhaps the batt lasts a really long time, however...

Hey Erik

I wanted to keep the DIY as simple as possible. Plus a garage door battery should last about 5yrs.

FYI, I was talking specifically about Itzkirb's DIY pictures:

Perhaps someone less of a newbie can help with your question...

Congrats - beautiful car! I love the C4S rear end.

There should be a sticker on the inside of your hood listing the original options (you will have to decode them - I think there is a decoder on rennlist or otherwise on renntech.org). You can also order a certificate of authenticity from Porsche North America which will show the original sticker options and total sticker price - overpriced ($95), but maybe nice to have - you can find details on the Porsche website, here: http://www2.us.porsche.com/english/u...thenticity.htm

I would love to go to a track someday, it is on my wish list!

All your factory options are listed under the front bonnet in a sticker with the paint code, etc... Somewhere around here you can get the codes translated.

Nice car. I really like the silver console, it lightens up the interior a bit. I drove several black/black cars when I was looking for mine, but they made me feel a little claustrophobic. I ended up with a grey interior.

I grew up in Montgomery Co. and do envy your roads. I can find some twisties here, but they just aren't fun without the hills.

Welcome to the Porsche Phunny Pharm and Congrads! Nice P-car,,, love the side skirts. If you look under your trunk lid, you will see the option codes as Jim (jcnesq) said. Click on General here in the Renlist Forums (left side of screen in red) and click on Opt. Code. Enter each code and you will know what options were ordered on the car. Clear side markers should be your first mod, IMO.

Very nice! I just recently got my first Porsche. . .also a CPO C4S with 11k miles on it. Its a pretty good way to start. Five months later, and I can't stop from looking back when walking away, to check out that gorgeous wide ***/hips in the C4S!
