wasn't aware Porsche had factory 17mm spacers? I always thought 5mm was factory spec.

I am putting 15mm all around, but it looks like I could have done 17mm depending on tire size.

I'll be watching for paint chips along side.

That Continental unit looks really nice. Where did you get it? Any issues with installation?

My '99 C2 Cab bought back in March. It's had an interesting life as a driver so I've been doing some refurbing. Still the most fun car I've ever owned.

Thanks for the responses Greg, dan_189, 85eurocarrera -- some food for thought there. I don't intentionally drive it on unsealed roads.

Anyway, back to the thread. Some very nice cars in here.

Here's some better shots to show the ride height and effect of spacers.

There are factory 17mm spacers but they aren't "approved" for the Carrera 5 spoke wheels.

If you do any "spirited" driving the chips come in thick and fast haha

I was told that they are "approved for the rear, but not the front"? I've had mine certified under the NZ licencing laws, so legal here

I don't do any driving on gravel roads, but spirited driving on tarmac - no significant chipping so far

Gorgeous! In this pic, was it chance or did you jack the car and move the wheels to get the spokes perfectly aligned?

I also replaced the previous owner's garish Alpine head unit with a Continental TR7412UB-OR. Very happy with it. Looks nearly OEM and the bluetooth works great with my iPhone.
Where did you purchase the Continental unit? Any issues with installation?

Here's mine. Recently purchased this 99 C4 with basically no options and sunroof delete. I'm currently planning on slowly turning it into a track car.

Sorry about the rather late answer, I hadn't noticed your question. Front splitter, side sill extensions and rear bumper skirts are locally made in vacuum bagged CF. I made models out of MDF and the fabricator then did moulds. Looks are for show (clear coated CF), but they're really for GO, flat floor from the tip of the splitter until front end of the engine. A "diffuser" is in plans.
