Forgot about this video of my old car, I randomly stumbled on it on YouTube today because it was a related video for something else I was watching.

After winter hibernation on the Turbo I dropped tire pressures back to standard spec, disconnected the battery charger and started her up. Drove out to get my drive clean test. Passed this and then renewed my plates for another 2 years.

Even though snow flakes are were flying today the tires were ok, braking was a bit off with the cold tires and sandy roads. Boy does this car go, after a winter of driving a normal aspirated 3.6l 996 I been acclimatized to slowness. What an amazing rush the Turbo is.

Jumper,
Both cars look great. I am still looking to replace my 996 that fell victim to corner 9 at Mosport last summer. I will have to post once I get a new car. You wouldn't want to see pics of the old one!

Do you have something you have your eye on or just waiting for spring and more selection. The was a red 997 in the Canadian section that had a rebuilt motor going for cheap.

I have a few 99-02's I am looking at in the US. Right now there doesn't seem to be much in the GTA.

Jumper, other than being totally awesome, is there a reason you have both a 996 4S and TT? I mean it's great, but I could see a cab and coupe or 993/996 etc.

Although, there is really is no reason needed... They look great.

I bought the C4S in 2003, back then it was big bucks. It's been a great car and I can't let it go for what it's worth today. It's my comfy daily driver and winter beater and it will under go a 3.6 to 3.8l rebuild, while the Turbo I got in 2012 is primary used for the summer fair weathered weekends and track. I needed something to keep up with the new 991S's and 997 GT3's and it does the job. It's been modified and is more track oriented. It also shares all my track wheels, tires and brake pads from my C4S.

I am not a convertible guy and I am not particularly a fan of the 993 head lights. Though a 964 of some sort would be something I'd like to add.

Not yet, I bet soon there will be. I was lucky to find the Turbo locally and then found out I knew the car's previous owner so it was a no brainer. It was tuff looking for cars even locally, they all look good in pictures then you go see them and there totally beat up. Hope your search goes well, expect spring will bring more inventory out.

There's a 2000 996 in UCR's classified for 25k. Looks like a good deal to me.
