Tim - those are just run-of-the-mill Sport Classic II's. They came on the car as an upgrade option in 11/'99. I do really like them but they can be tough to keep clean. I keep them coated in ReJex which helps the dirt and brake dust clean off easily. And thanks, I just love my car!

CarreraX -
Great looking car! I'd love it, too!
How do you like the 19's on it? Did it change the road feel drastically? I am really soul-searching what to do with rims and the 19's are just so striking looking, but I don't want to end up with a harsh ride. Are you glad you did it?

Thanks Stevo,
It rides great with the 19's actually. They are champion wheels and the suspension was done by champion also. It had the wheels on it when I bought it so I cant compare it with the stock wheels. I do have a friend with 17's on his 996 and mine rides as good or better.

I had a problem with the leather coming loose on my Boxster, so I decided to make the fix look a bit different. I like it so much I've been thinking about a similar look in my 996. take a look at the Boxster doors. Any ideas on a color scheme for the 996?
The 996 has changed a bit since this picture. I have added a CF shift ****, please no TIP jokes, I like it, and the batwing is CF with built in Valentine 1 remote unit. I know it's easy to go over board and maybe I already have. The aluminum look is real aluminum not paint. I'm thinking of a somewhat shiny silver leather around outside of door panels as in the Boxster doors. Opinions?
