Mine is a track toy, an 02 C4S. I bought it brand new in 02, plan was to wax it on Friday, drive it on Saturday Sunday only if the sun was shining. Yup, that lasted maybe 3 months. Then, I went to my first DE.

On the way to fun

I went with one of the Ceramic Pro paint protection deals. full cleaning of exterior, clay bar, two stage machine polish, full IPA wipedown, and 2 coats of Ceramic Pro (5 year guarantee...no wax required in that timeframe, requires a yearly wash and inspection by the installer).

Probably paid to much for unicorn dust, but will see. Regardless, it is one hell of a detailing job. They did want me to respray the bumper, hood, and fronts of the fenders to make it really look new, but I did not have that in my budget and I am fine with the few remaining warts. Car still looks great and, since it isn't going to be garage queen, it won't be long til there are more new warts.

I don't know how much you paid, it seems to have worked. I just dumped $200 for marginal results. I'll look into the ceramic pro, 5 years without wax is a lot of time savings.

Default My 2001 996 C4 in Zanzibar Red

Some beautiful cars on here.

Six years after selling my lovely Zermatt Silver 964 turbo, last month I bought a 47k mile Zanzibar Red C4 with factory Aero Cup kit, Sport Design wheels, M030, sunroof delete, sports seats, 3 spoke steering wheel and carbon gear **** (shifter) and handbrake lever. Zanzibar Red was the launch colour for the 996.1 GT3. I first saw one at at Goodwood Racing Circuit back in 2007 and always thought what a beautiful colour - it changes from red to orange depending on the light. The only changes from factory are Topgear headers and Dansk mufflers with the (original) Porsche PSE tips, as well as a Kenwood double DIN head unit.

I see a lot of great cars and fantastic scenery on here - my photos are taken in Cornwall right down at the South West corner of the UK, which has some good scenery too!

I just purchased this 996 C4S. My first Porsche! I take possession of it next week. I went back about 40 pages to see if someone had posted it previously. 42k miles and in beautiful condition.

Getting IMSB replaced and also getting a Kenwood DNX893s radio/navigation installed.

My son and I picked up this 1999 996 Zenith Blue Metallic RWD Coupe. We believe it to me bone stock, but we are not sure about the gunmetal turbo wheels. Was the gunmetal rim color an option?

We have since added window tint and plan on doing things like marker lights and front bumper tag holder delete.

Thx.
Doug
