996 Sports Seats..
I have an 04 C2 with stock seats and will be upgrading to a set of 99 sport seats with heat and power adjustment. Is thier much difference in the look and fitment of the 99 Sport seats and the 04 version. And why are the 99 backrest not painted? Any ideas of painting them? I am not concerned with the lack of memory for the 99 seats. Has anyone done this conversion? I'm concerned with the wiring issues. Are the 99 two stage heating?...Thanks in advance for all advice...

with regards to ur post:
the seats are infact the two stage heat, and they are unpainted because i didn't spec the car to include bodypaint matched seatbacks.
also, i've made a post asking about the heated seat stuff, with any luck it shouldn't be too difficult to unwire.

I saw those on sale on eBay and they are VERY well priced. I just picked up a set a month ago from a new GT3 and got the deal of a lifetime just because the guy wanted to dump them. Otherwise, the best deal I found was about $1700-1800 and that was for the basic seat, i.e. no crest no heat.

Are the Sport Seats avail w/o heating??
When looking at the PET CD it seems that Sport Seats do come with heating as mandatory. Am I correct or can the Sport Seats be ordered w/o heating?

I have factory Sports Seats, with body color painted backs, also a factory custom ordered option. Manual height and slider, power tilt, no heat. My car is a MY '99.

I have standard black leather w/ full power, lumbar and memory - would love to swap them out for a better seat that provides plenty of support without losing the full power and memory options.
Any suggestions ?
