The .2 GT3 rims had better hold up to track use given how much they weigh! They're porkers.

I’m partial to these but I do love my GT3 rims ALMOST as much

If you’re okay with wider fitment, my vote goes to Apex Wheels. Lightweight, strong, and relatively inexpensive. I really wanted a set for those reasons, but I don’t want wider wheels so I’m no longer considering them.

edit: They will occasionally have sales on their wheels, if you can be patient.

These are definitely heavier than Carrera II’s even given their relative size. I like the look of them. HS Turbo’s Twists are sweet as well.😎

MY 02 five spoke for the win. Awesome 996 wheel. 10-in rear is no problem.

Simple. Strong. As light as hollow spoke. Definitely lighter than sport design, sport classic, or GT3.

Otto Bonn, that’s a lovely photograph. Do you have any more photos of that car & wheel combination?

Somewhere on Rennlist is a 4 year old 996 wheel thread or two with hundreds of pictures and details. It may be worth finding it.

As always. It comes down to the purpose for the wheels and look you are trying to get, etc. There are alot if great options.

I believe you have a C4S, so keep in the back of your mind what the oem wheel sizes are as well as tire size requirements so the computer doesn't shut down your engine due to tire size differentials.

Most people who have tried would say those won't fit standard 996. Once in awhile someone says they make it work. They will fit your wide body though.
