Thanks guys.
It was tough to make the plunge, and Im letting go of a car thats very special to me to make this happen. Its going to a good home and while Im leaving some money on the table, its going to someone who wont be flipping it and I should have an opportunity later on to buy it back. Hopefully the stars align, but thats way down the road
From my annual 1/1 Drive. It was this day that the writing was on the wall that I was going to need a little more than this car could offer me.
Now, back to the 911... I have my first major change/ purchase happening this weekend. Its a set of Recaro seats. Probably spending a little more than I should on these, but its cheaper than GT3 seats, they both recline and I think the style will go perfect with what Im going for.
As for mounting, I think BreyKrause has the setup Im looking for. Open to opinions about this, but I dont think I have many options.
and finally, I've always been a big fan of build threads as Im from the generation where forums were THE place to share stuff, but I do have an IG and a small YouTube to just share various things.
If you're interested its @the_tuman_show but you'll get most of the same content here

Congrats on the 996 and love seeing those build/diary/whatever you wanna call it threads. Sounds like you scored a great example. I know many people find white cars boring but I love them. Look forward to seeing the progress.
That Alfa is beautiful and certainly a very different driving experience. My good friend has a fully rebuilt step-nose to replicate the Alfaholics cars with a revvy 1.3L motor and a spare 2.0L one. There's also a gentleman with a California GTV in same color like yours he recently purchased but a total sleeper with a V6 Buso motor shoved into it.

Awesome purchase!
I've got the KW coilovers and like them!
Nice to see another 3.8 on here. Let me know what numbers you make, and if it's running any additional software, or just the stock ECU...

This past Friday I had the day off because my brother was supposed to come to town for the weekend. He bailed, but I still attended all my car related events.
-Fueling up at the Shell thats at the Angeles Crest base.
-Good Vibes Breakfast Club, alternate location. Attendance was light because of the NorCal Luft event and all that stuff
-Saturday, my Alfa came home from the passenger side rocker repair. Just a few steps left before it goes away... It took a lot of work to move stuff around to make it all fit. Doesnt look that way, but its pretty tight inside
-Sunday was the monthly Los Angeles Cars & Coffee. My kiddo was awake early so I took her with me. She got to see cars, some random person saw her and gave her a Hot Wheels of the OG Batmobile and then later we played in Griffith Park. Win! Even though this isn't the seat I bought for the car, it works for now. Cant wait to swap out all the seats.
Speaking of seats, I also picked up the Recaro SR2's on Saturday and ordered the BreyKrause Mounts with the Recaro Sliders today. I have Thursday off, so I might begin the swap, but the garage is already tight. We'll see if I can make it work... I want to so the will is there, just have to find a way. Thats assuming the parts arrive in time
