Fister mufflers with OEM cat or sport cat
Hello
I have a '99 996 that I would like to get a set of fister mufflers for. I was wondering if anyone has experience with both the OEM cat and a 200 cell sport cat or cat bypass? Are mufflers alone enough to open up the sound and power? Would they be too loud with a sport cat?
Thanks
jeff

I have a 3.6 so not *exactly* apples to apples, but I have Fisters with a Fabspeed x-pipe. It is loud, but not obnoxiously so. While it is impossible to sneak in/out, the cabin is still quiet enough to hold a conversation.

I have Agency Power headers, Fister modded mufflers and the Top Speed 200 cell cats on my '99 C4 w/3.8. I'll try to grab a video in the next couple of days to give you an idea of the volume and tonal characteristics. Previous iteration was the same headers and mufflers with stock cats, video in link below.
