before and after dyno on custom tuning

You can see from the before graph results that the addition of the Schrick sport cams did no favors to the HP and torque line at higher
rpm with the existing Giac tune the car already had.
The DME seemed unable to adjust to this hardware change it and the result was a severe drop off from around 5700 to 6300rpm where both Torque and HP start
to pick up again.
On the track, this was a very noticeable and negative result.
With the custom program from RSP Motorsports and performed in conjunction with being strapped on the dyno at the same time, they were able to
smooth out and increase both torque and hp.
It has a very strong and uninterrupted acceleration now to 7500rpm and if only i could rev it higher without fear of blowing up, it think it would keep pulling easily to 8k.

Having seen Jake's latest video on motor mounts, i will be changing back to factory stock ones and hopefully pick up a few extra HP as well.Attached Images

Do a before and after on the mounts..
Always interested in seeing results from different dynos in regard to this.
With stock lifters 7500 RPM should be your absolute red line. I focus on making power lower to help keep things alive.

The changeover dip that I normally see at 5,200 RPM isn't happening with yours till 6K or so. That can be smoothed out with some timing alterations in that realm in most cases. It almost looks to me like the DME changed maps in this range, which can happen.
Which cams are these? What was their advertised lift and duration? Did you change the valve springs, too?

Hi Jake,
This is the data on the cams from Schrick that i purchased.
Inlet Cams:
Cam lift (Valve Lift) I/E (mm) = 10.7 mm
Duration°/Peak Timing = 280°/127-102°
Valve Timing °CRA (IO-IC-EO-EC) = 13-87 38-62
Valve Lift at TDC I/E (mm) = 0.4-3.2mm

Outlet Cams:
Cam lift (Valve Lift) I/E (mm) = 10.7 mm
Duration°/Peak Timing = 272°/113°
Valve Timing °CRA (IO-IC-EO-EC) = 69-23
Valve Lift at TDC I/E (mm) = 1.5mm

For the heads, i know that the springs were all changed for new ones with the comment that they were slightly higher rate springs for a few hundred RPM higher limit but
i don't have specific info on them.
For the tune itself, the original GIAC tune from 20 years ago was an issue to modify so the solution ultimetly was to completely erase it, re-introduce the original Porsche
factory tune and then build onto that.
Amazing data that you provide on the motor mounts by the way. No one can argue with clear data.
